Sodexo organised a fund-raising event in aid of Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss as part of its Servathon, once again selling, as it has done in previous years, chocolates created especially for the occasion by the Bissen-based Ateliers du Tricentenaire association. Sodexo employees then sold them at cash registers in restaurants operating in the business, health and education sectors and in care homes throughout Luxembourg. New for this year, the Benefits and Rewards Services subsidiary also teamed up with the initiative, selling chocolates among some of Sodexo’s major Lunch Pass clients.
Sodexo’s Annie Riquet pointed out, when the cheque was handed over at the social restaurant on Rue de la Fonderie in the presence of President Marcel Detaille, Vice-President André Theisen and Director Alexandra Oxacelay, that, “thanks to Sodexo’s clients and guests the initiative was a roaring success, with sales raising a total of €5,000, that is €1,000 more than in 2016 and even €2,000 more than 2015, and we plan to do even better in 2018!”.
Indeed, as Annie Riquet added, “joining the Servathon means demonstrating a commitment to fighting hunger and malnutrition. Please visit https://donate.stop-hunger.org for more information”.
Donations to Stëmm vun der Strooss can be made by bank transfer to the ASBL Stëmm vun der Strooss BCEE account (LU63 0019 2100 0888 3000) and are tax-deductible.
